Brienne awoke with aching head and groggy feeling in her stomach to find herself on the floor, head in a puddle of her own drool. The midsummer night ale and wine party seeming not as such a good idea as from the previous night. All around her were women and men in varying levels of drunken stupor. Some wandering around aimlessly looking for another drink, others waking up in a similar situation as herself, but were passed out cold, maybe even dead. But if there was a healer or maester in the barkeep, they would be drunk too. Her squire, Dyon as she had finally remembered his name, was slumped back in a chair in the corner, snoring lightly with a bottle of wine he couldn't possibly have afforded in his hand. Brienne picked herself from the floor finding it much harder than usual. She stumbled here and there, but finally managed to straighten herself out and half walk half stumble to her squire.

She shook him light with no reaction. "Dylan, wake up." She shook him again a bit harder. She got his name wrong, but didn't care all that much. "Sylan if you don't wake up right now I'm leaving you here to be robbed by drunkards." And she knew it would happen, she was quite amazed they actually hadn't been robbed and pickpocketed already. Her squire was wearing fine boiled leather with embroidered symbols Jamie Reyne had chosen for their pack. She herself was wearing expensive and colorful silk and furs with silver rings binding her hair together for the occasion. A friend, or more likely one of the many suck ups to Jamie had invited them. She hadn't had good wine in months and so accepted the invitation grudgingly. The boy still was sound asleep and so she left him and headed for the door.

Somewhere to the back of her she could hear the drunken pounding of a table, shouting, cursing, and heavy drinking. It seemed as if those wanderers found their drinks. "By the gods, is that a woman!?" someone shouted, slurred and heavy. He went into hysterics at his own words while the others gave nervous chuckles, anxiously looking at one another. Immediately she knew they were talking about her. At 6'3 and with short hair and not the most feminine body she was often mistaken as a man, though some were more respectful and polite about unlike the unruly behemoth of fat that sat behind her. He was sitting at a roundtable smaller than himself with another man sitting across from him, several empty cups and bottles of wine and beer between them. Others were surrounding both men drinks in their hands and red in their faces. He was a plump, portly, heavy set man, and that was putting it nicely, with a greying beard scarcely covering his multiple chins. He was dressed in much fine red and purple silks. Better to hide the wine stains she thought. The collar of his shirt was embroidered with rubies and garnet stones to match the silk. There was also his house sigil of a sword in rock on his chest. There were some other men who had the same symbol on their clothing, knights and sworn swords most likely. He was probably some high lord of some stupid minor house on his way to kiss up to his reigning lord or something. She had her hand on the door handle, gripping it to the point her knuckles turned a ghostly white. She could have walk out the door and forget the fat man, until his next comment. "Well then if you're a woman get us some more wine." He went up in another roar of laughter. She thought for a second, of nothing, and then her hand was on her hip reaching for her sword, but it wasn't there. Balling her hands into a fists, she left the door and approached his table. She grabbed a half full horn of wine from someone surrounding the table, pushing them over as she went, and promptly poured it over the fat man's head. Everyone was silent. The fat man looked in awe as his men stood there not sure on what to do, but apparently the he did. He shot up, knocking over the table with his belly fat seething with rage. His face was flushed, red with anger and embarrassment when he realized that he was shorter than her. He had to take several steps back to look at her face.

"How dare you!" He spat, spittle flying onto his beard. "Do you know who I am!?" His breath reeked of hours of drinking along with stewed plums. His men were still glancing at each other nervously a few were standing.
"Some fat lord who doesn't know when to close his pudgy mouth hole." She glanced around at the people in the barkeep. More where awake including her squire who was stumbling around looking for her sword. "Is there anything else?" She moved closer to him and he stumbled backward into the table he knocked over tripping and going down. He grabbed wildly at anything within arm's reach and grabbing his drinking buddy and dragging both of them down. Seeing the fat man roll around like a turtle on it's back was hilarious, but swords had been drawn and it was time to leave. She deftly swiveled on her heels and made her exit slamming the door on the way out. Her tokota, Rhaella, was saddled and ready to ride by her squire and several other tokotas were prepared for a hunt. Now she remembered, she owed them a hunt, several actually. She took the steps two at a time and hopped onto her tokota, her sword on the side of the saddle.

There were four stranger tokotas and Rhaella, the safest amount tokotas to take on a hunt. Anymore and things always go wrong, too many tokotas to look after. Devil, Jhen, and Anteka were terrible siblings, always nipping and snarling at one another which made Mina, a blind merle, skittish. Currently they were separated, Devil to the right of her, Jhen to the left, Anteka towards the front occasionally turning back to growl at her brothers. Instead of riding a horse as he usual does, Mina's rider allowed him to ride her. The two quickly bonded over their love of salmon and Mina seemed more than willing to allow the boy to ride her. He was a much better rider on tokota than horse, though it might just be Mina was a good mount. Either way the boy should have a tokota of his own soon.

Without word, Brienne and Rhaella took off, the others racing to keep up. There was no need for Mina to track anything, on her way to the barkeep she had found a cave with a grizzly haven take up residence. The cave was in a secluded patch of woods off the side of the road. It was easy to miss, but she hadn't because the bear was leaving the cave as she passed by.
The brisk run did some good for clearing her head, but by the time she got to the cave and placed each tokota in their positions, she couldn't trust herself to hold a sword. Devil and Anteka were to the left and right respectively to the cave opening with Jhen behind the cave, he would bring up the rear when the bear ran out. Mina was chosen to be the bait and lure the bear. Rhaella had her focus game on and would be the one to take the bear on directly. Brienne sent Mina and Dyon into the dark cave with a shield and longsword. A clattering sound and some growling could be heard within the cave. Mina and Dyon came rushing out with a pissed off bear on their heels. Mina scurried away to the side as Devil and Anteka closed the sides. Once Mina was out of sight the bear realized what was happening attempted to shuffle back into his cave when Jhen blocked his path. Snarls and growls were all around, but Rhaella was silent. She wasn't angry nor was she afraid, she just struck like, lightning quick and the bear's blood was across the ground, reddening the blades of grass. The bear slumped downward and landed with a thump and was done for.
Based on a similar experience that I've had after a party. I was Brienne and my friend was a boy name Deon, but I kept mispronouncing his name as I tried to wake him up.
Another hunt will take placed after this one.
